Do NOT stop for protesters

About 2000 years ago, the mobs had a compliant leadership and the masses called for the blood of a particular man. The leadership obliged. One of the predominant religions on earth was formed as a result.

Best I can tell, "Social Justice" is the word the today's malcontents use in place of "Revenge". It is truly remarkable how little human nature, particularly as manifested among the ignorant never changes.

 

Do the speed limit and hold the air horn, they'll move one way or the other.

Without rioters, we'd still be worshipping the Queen of England.

 

Now don't be going telling people the Boston tea party was a bunch of rioting vandles who stole a bunch of property they didn't own and toss it in the Boston harbor.
They might actually have to realize protesting that actually works isn't a clean business.

 

And even more importantly, don't dare mention the fact that that particular property was targeted for liberation specifically because it was owned by the largest corporation in the world at the time; the Walmart of it's day.

 

Walmart, or for that matter, any company CEO would gladly give their soul to have 1/4 the power East India had at the time. We complain about the power corporatios have today, and rightly so, but forget just what the term robber baron actually meant.

 

That's certainly one way to look at it. Another would be that it doesn't really matter whether the gunboats fly the flag of the company itself, or of the country that is doing the company's bidding.
