either that or park at the Petro on 57 at exit 335 Monee Illinois......even during the dead of winter at nighttime.....I have ALWAYS found a spot across the street in the extra lot.....they don't charge and you also have a tiny pilot there too......it's always been worth it for me

Maybe the sign is missing? When I was there half a year ago, I happily paid the 10 bucks since the Pilot across the highway was completely full. I just look at it as a rental fee since the lot is owned by Citgo, so I had no problem with it. Parking in the area is difficult as it is, so what's 10 bucks to park somewhere legal? I've blown my money on more expensive things before.

That Pilot is always a cluster#*+#. The company has us fuel there way to often, but parking there is a complete nightmare.

If I have to take a break anywhere near that area, I run out to I80 exit 93. The Shell truckstop may have a potholed lot, but the folks are friendly and the restaurant has good chow.
The only time I've seen trouble finding a spot to park there was during the blizzard this winter.

I won't even bother stopping at the Pilot. There is usually a 1/2hr to 1hr wait to get fuel..... as for sleeping there, I just drive another hour east to my house LOL

There's plenty of entertainment at the Minooka Pilot. Colors shine there, lol.

Isn't there a rest area right there? I mean 2, one on each side of the road? I'll p/up tomorrow at Clorox right there in the afternoon and may not have many hrs when I leave but already planning on going somewhere else to take my break. :biggrin_25519:
