When I started guys used to put a few purple lights on the exterior for a few years besides the blue up against the windshield and blue dots on the red lenses until the cops put an end to it.

All my interior blue LEDs are down by the floor so I don't knock over my coffee.

missouri law states that only an emergency vehicle can have lights emitting the color blue. I have a buddy that loves to write tickets on blue ground effect lightiing.

I always heard the color blue was associated with the gay community.

Be very careful with blue lighting inside any vehicle. Rhodopsin, the chemical responsible for our night vision, is destroyed far faster with green-blue light than by red light. This is why red light is used to preserve night vision.

I’ve seen three trucks in the last few weeks with a single, centered, forward facing amber bullet light hanging down from the visor. Still had lights on the top of the cab. Any idea if this is for glare, a look, or something else?

I run under red lighting at night quite a bit. One over the cab and one down near the floor is plenty.

I also ran different small lighting in the personal car way back then for sign language purposes at night. It worked out well.

What is the point of the red lights on the floor? I’ve always noticed first position on the dome light switch was floor lights, but never understood their purpose.
