My standard issue flashlight (moonbeam) from the Marine Corps had a red lense you could attach for night time use...

I will never put extra lights like that on my truck I prefer to be incognito and slept through being unseen out of sight out of mind

This is true. When I was a teen and neons were new and the coolest thing in the world, I had a blue neon on my dash and a cop harassed the hell out of me about it before videophone were invented. He said he was gonna smash my window with his flashlight and rip out my neon. Though that is when cops kept law and order so I'm not mad.

I used to run extra lites on my trucks but anymore it's just something else for carrier enforcement to cry about and another way for corrosion to wick it's way into the wiring .

    DougA Thanks this.

Tgis is like the 2nd or 3rd time I've seen someone say. Blue light are for snow plows. I' just curious where that is. Cause on the east coast, I've only seen orange used on snow plows, construction vehicles, wide loads etc...
Blue light are for cops use only.
