Explain? I'd say you don't lie too well... that's how I'd explain your posts.

As far as pulling trailers, you need to go back and read my post where I explained this.

I can't take you seriously after this ridiculous charade you are playing.

Incorrect. They ONCE owned 51% of Arnold. Now it's back the other way, Arnold has controlling interest again since merging with LinkAmerica.

I pull arnold preloadeds quite a lot and always grab an arnold empty when no usx
    Trailers are availible.
I think its total that tend to run there own operation.Maybe will pull one of those about once a year
    And never a smith trailer.
As for making over 60k a year,I crushed that last year.
And yes it is a pain doing the empty chase, not good for driver retention, not good for customer service.
I have a solution for that.either book less loads or buy more trailers.

So you are ignorant if you work for a large carrier? Thats about as stupid a comment as I have heard on this forum.

There are plenty of bad small outfits with ignorant drivers.

This superiority complex because your lite in the skivvy's is what is ignorant.

Wait a second. You don't drive for USX but you bash them, Right? 4 months to know how a trucking company should be run? I think you and lite britches should get together for a cup of coffee since you both seem compatible. No need to thank me either.:biggrin_25525:

Ignorance definition;lack of knowledge, education, or awareness.

Most drivers who enter this industry are ignorant. They have no idea how much money can be earned. What they should be paid for. How often they should be home. What benefits they could be offered with better more reputable carriers.

I, too, was ignorant when I first started driving back in 1992 when I joined JB Hunt. I spent 4 to 5 weeks away from home at a time, started at .20 cpm and did alot of work for free. Fast forward 20 years later and 4 companies and now I get paid for EVERY drop/hook, EVERY stop, 6 PAID holidays, 5 PAID personal/sick days etc. I am home each weekend now and last years average weekly pay (as a non union COMPANY driver) was $1375.

You see informed drivers know enough to ask questions and research other companies to find jobs that offer better pay, better benefits, better home time.

Ignorant drivers post silly comments without comprehension. I leave it to you with your "23 years" of supposed experience to judge for yourself whether a mega carrier takes better care of its employees than a privately owned company.

Compare for yourself wages and benefits packages at companies such as Wal-Mart, Frito Lay, Martin Brower, Sherwin Williams, ltl carriers, union carriers, to companies such as US Xpress, JB Hunt, Werner, Swift, Crete group, or even Schneider.

You think drivers are ignorant because they stay with mega carriers and cintinually get abused? So what's your deffination of being abused with mega carriers? Many of these drivers just can't cut the mustard and companies get tired of it.People had it too good at home and can't handle trucking. If you just shut up and do your job,you can be the carriers/dispatchers best driver and they will take care of you. There's 2 sides to every story and it's not too often you hear the second side.
