Glad you left. Western is just another in a long list of junk OTR companies that constantly have to advertise for driver's. Too bad you had to find out the hard way. Good luck on the new employer.

I started Thursday driving a dump truck and I was told that the person I did a ride along with yesterday said "i didn't pay attention and I sat there like a knot on a log". Yet today I was put into a truck and told "this guy is gonna ride with you and see if you can drive" well I did drive. When I spoke with my boss tonight he said "you made a fool out of me and my trainer" he and the trainer thought I wasn't paying attention and would screw up but I was just playing possum. I got in that shaky old international messed with the gears and ran two loads of asphalt today with zero problems and zero complaints so I get to rise and shine early tomorrow and run a log truck.:biggrin_25523:

Heck you probably didn't even need to ride with a driver and didn't need a ride along. You would have done just fine if you followed that driver your first run.

The only thing I didn't catch when I was with her (and she didn't mention) was that the Pete that she was running had third and fourth backwards. My only problem will be trying to make sure all of the stupid paperwork is kept in order and surviving the winter on just a little work. I was told as soon as it gets warm out and the asphalt jobs come pouring in we will be running nearly non stop six possibly seven days a week :biggrin_25519:
