Do pilot points rollover to new year?

    I am saving for a new bigger screen GPS. Should have enough points in February. Almost $500 retail.

    Mechanics can only write off tools after they hit a threshold. If you have been in the industry any amount of years you cease to meet that threshold. Unless you are one of those that likes putting the tool mans kid through college because they put a new color on the same ratchet and you haven't gotten that one yet.
    Last time I tried before I changed to trucking was about $5k threshold. But to be honest in that industry you'll only really spend that amount if you are just starting out or are just wreckless with money.

    I look at my fuel points as a bonus from my company. $600-800 per year works for me. I prefer to save up several hundred dollars worth at a time before I spend them. Using them up several dollars at a time doesn't feel like you have earned anything.
