First thing first, Smadronia - you have a real jerk for a dispatcher.
If I were you, I would ask to be given a different dispatcher, one that is willing to work with you under real life conditions.
That being said, my $0.02 worth on the team runs - my wife and I run team on a dedicated route. We run almost exactly 6,000 miles in about 5 1/2 days. We stop for the occasional hot meal and/or shower, but that's about it. (then we have about a day and a half off - just enough time to reset our logs, and boy, do we "crash" for about 18 hours of it!) It isn't bad, but you have to be able to really get some sleep while the truck is moving.
Smadronia, the bottom line is that people are not machines, and your dispatcher should not be making you run hard past your "comfort zone" of driving. As an old saying in the business goes, "better late than to scatter the freight."
Ask for a new dispatcher, and if the company doesn't cooperate, start marking your time and looking for a company that will not push you so hard.
Good luck!!
Do "real" teams ever shut down?
