In Idaho if you use that setup to get a Class A CDL you get a restriction on your license that says you CANNOT pull a standard 5th wheel style trailer. So you would be stuck with straight truck and pup style trailer... No traditional tractor trailer. Idaho started this in 2015 or 2016 I believe.

See it all the time with fuel haulers. Straight truck and pulling tanker behind straight truck. Also with dump trucks

With that setup- Now you need 2 sources of power in breakdown- A tractor to move that puppy
