Do you deserve overtime pay?

    it's federal law. Even for highway drivers paid by the mile. OT after 60 hours. Companies choose to ignore it until a federal complaint is filed.

    The company I work for is federally regulated. It's oilfield as well as side curtain vans on the freight side.

    Yes it does suck, but they pay drivers accordingly, to make up for not getting as much OT as I would elsewhere.

    Does anyone agree that after 44 hours has been logged in our log book during the course of our week that our mileage rate should be increased to overtime rate? That would be a 50% increase in your mileage rate. I just think anyone working over 44 hours in a week without receiving the same renumeration as other blue collar workers is being treated like a second class citizen.

    the federal law says after 60 hours, the company is required to pay you ot for all hours above 60. If companies followed the law, you would make a decent living for working all these hours.
