I have a clutch in my truck but I don't know how it works
-
And unfortunately I never learned how to double clutch. My instructor in school taught me how to float. In California I took my exam floating and when I got my first job, I asked before I got in if I should double clutch (knowing I couldn't) and my future supervisor says.....no man floating only
-
Pull my hair and call me stupid but why would you use the clutch other then start and stop on a trans that is synchronized and designed to be shifted without using the clutch?
-
"Naawww!!Don't Float em!! You'll damage too many parts!"
Use the double clutch and keep grinding til it finally falls in gear eventually..
Thats how the tanker trainer showed me this week when I was showing HIM how I shifted better than he did, after his auto shift was put in the shop.
I can float just fine, thank you,but this trainer couldnt find a gear in a transmission shop. -
float only double clutched for cdl test and it was almost a disaster but still passed on the first try probally couldent do it again to save my life
-
Every time I push both of them pedals at the same time my truck just wants to stop for some reason, so I quit do'in that double pedal thing, and now I just use the shifter and it moves along just fine...
-
I am forced to float. My clutch does nothing but allow me to grind gears.
-
pull my hair and call me stupid again but I always thought using the clutch makes them burn up faster plus with them having clutch brakes If you push it all the way when the trans is moving at a higher rate of speed you can do some serious damage
