I had some trouble at the DMV once. I can't remember what for but they wouldn't process something because of something else. So I just went to another DMV location and they processed it no problem just said "hey, you need to take care of that other thing"

 

you can contact the state of VA, vital statistics dept.

they will need some type of proof, then some sort of payment. cost me like $15.00 for a certified birth certificate from my own state.

 

Apparently, a passport could have solved everything, but I told the guy, "look pal, I never intend to leave this great country, FOR ANY REASON, so no passport",,,

 

I think so as well. I had turned in my non expired passport to apply for a new one as I needed over a year for a visa. When I showed up in a few days to pick it up the woman who was holding my passport in my hand and looking at me asked me for ID. I told her she was holding it. And we went back and forth until I finally had to give her my license to get it.

 

Well I havent seen my real id yet it in the mail. Paper temp license till it gets here

 

Check your expiration date - it's on the bottom of your foot.

 

Personally I intend to live forever.

i did renewal back in December in California and i had two options. I did renewal and got regular DL(not Real ID).
