1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Do you need a good driver?

I am a professional driver with 14 years experience. I have a great MVR and DAC. I am looking for something different. When I place my resume on the employment boards, my phone rings off the hook, but sadly the calls are from the "run of the mill" companies. I am looking for a career that rewards good, loyal drivers. I have experience in Van, Reefer, some flatbed. 1.5 million miles with no accidents....well, not driving anyway. My last job was entertainment hauling (concerts, shows), as you know these loads have to get there safely. I am very flexible and would listen to all offers. Also I spent a year as a Safety Supervisor for one of the largest refrigerated fleets in the nation.

If anyone is interested you can reply to this post, or PM me with company name and contact info. Thank you for reading my post and good luck in your business.

    Look in to oversize.
    It is interesting and rewarding.
It is not for those just looking for mile with as little involvement in the cargo as possible.
You may have to put in a bit of time as a newby if you have not done it before but you can pick it up quickly if you are with a good outfit.
I really enjoyed most of it.

I wasn't going to respond to such an inane remark, but what the heck, I have time. I think your reading comprehension needs some improvement. Number 1...14 years 1.5 million miles...no accidents. Hauled shows for 5 years? How many times have you taken a truck to Radio City Music Hall? I usually went 4-5 times a year. Been downtown to every major city in the country and most of the minor ones. I see your from Pittsburgh, take your truck and trailer down to the Benedum theater and back it in. You ever been to a concert where they said, "sorry, no show, truck had to stop for bad weather." BTW, have 3 offers ranging from .43 to .50 cents per mile, and 1 for $21.48 an hour. And no, I am not embarrassed to post here, I use every tool I can to find what I want. There are a lot of professionals on this site, maybe one day you will be one. How's that for a tune up?
