Beat up 69 Ford F-150 wih bad head gaskets. Frickin' thing smoked more than a sold out crowd at a Grateful Dead concert! :biggrin_2559: As for my 1st solo in a semi, it was a (really) old 9 speed Ford with well over a million on it, no AC, radio, and a drivers seat that had the consistency of granite. (It was R&L's "new guy truck"). Lol

My 1st ride that I have vivid memories of wad my dads late 60s Ford C series single screw cab over set back front axle.
He hauled tires out of Detroit to port Huron. Usually bobtail back.
Coming back was scary. I'd ride with feet on dashboard as I knew we were going to end up nose first into concrete.
Michigan roads weren't any better back then. That short wheel base with springs and no trailer. I know we were catching air.

My first truck I drove on my own is my avatar picture. Flat top kenworth t600. 350 Cummins 9 speed no engine brake wrst coast mirrors. Air powered windshield wipers and window.
    76 mph company truck
Did I mention no engine brake.
You learned to fall off a mountain, preferably not on fire, real quick.

My first car was a 76 Plymouth Duster.
    Deuce and a quarter.
    Customized by Michigan road salt.
No air conditioning, occasional working heat.
Tried as I may, you couldn't blow it up.
