Again...I truly hope he does. If he's justifiably upset, the company should be exposed for what it did. No question.

The first/one post flame is a good clue you won't see him again. Happens all the time on here.
There is a Nationwide o/o company. Though I never seen them in Shelbyville. Maybe he had a contract? I'm sure it says on his paystub, "Left Early", lol. -
SRT Texarkana, AR.
Any driver who resigns must turn in all equipment and documents owned by the company. It will take 2 weeks to send you a check via USPS. You could very well wind up with a bill from the company and a collection agency letter if you refuse to pay them for the loss and or recovery their property. ie Truck abandoned, locks, keys, fuel cards, printed materials(driver policy manual)...
Think twice before Quitting without Notice, and if you do quit with notice, Put it in writing and get a signed receipt for all property you return to the above company.
Trl lock $ 100.00
SRT Policy manual $ 25.00
Badge $25.00
Cost to recover an abandoned truck $1.75 CPM there and back
plus they submit your driving and employment record to DOT, PSP, CSA, DAC
Don't think you can get away with jumping to another company, they will hunt and find you where ever you try to run and hide. -
Those are all pretty much illegal deductions. In most states, employees cannot be held liable for employer's losses. Trucking companies do it because most times they get away with it. There is also a federal law that prohibits this type of deduction if it lowers the employees compensation below minimum wage.popmartian Thanks this. -
Trailer lock $100. Wow, they are marking them up. If it's them Swedish Sorenson? locks, they only cost $40. I have 3 of them. I'll sell em to you for $60 each
$25 for a badge? A photo and piece of plastic? Their making $10,000 a year there. Cheap manual made on copy machine $25? Alert, alert, alert. Another we'll screw you company.
They can report to DAC... DOT and CSA is collected by leo's. There is no secret violations to report. Employment records are collected by the next employer and kept on file. DOT can care less who you work for. They just require employers to complete a 10 year background check and make sure the driver isn't hiding any jobs they got in trouble with.Rollover the Original Thanks this. -
and once again another thread that give no information about the company and a bunch of b.s.,was interested to find out if anyone works for them on here?
-
Ronin I'm still laughin
TGUNKEL Thanks this. -
Yup, I was looking at them too (Nationwide Express) but with one fail swoop of the computer keys it went from one post saying the driver got riped off to all kinds of other things. No one offered anything of value. Lots of funny and interesting comments and both sides well covered to such that any lawyer worth thier salt would say well done... but nothing original or informative...

Unless he comes back and explains, of course.
