First of all, I appreciate your opinion and everyone has one...I defend the truckers that try to live by the laws of the road....but when the negative talk comes out about a "bad driver" the public assumes we are all bad....I am well aware that every trucker doesn't wear a "halo" as I have been otr long enough to find that out.........I just try to defend the responsible drivers, like me!

Thank you for your clarification, Lady.
I could say that truckers aren't much different. One dumb### stunt by a four-wheeler and it seems we're ALL a bunch of idiots.
Well, I beg to differ on both statements. I don't think the public assumes all truckers are "bad"... just as I know not all truckers think every four-wheeler is a menace on the roads.
And yes, I get testy when someone makes such broad generalizations because there are good and bad on both sides of this coin. -
How could you not get upset by it. I feel you don't understand the extent of it. This is not only what we do but who we are and it gets really depressing when you hear those things. And trust me, you hear them ALLOT! I feel it is the image most people have and to be perfectly honest after being in the industry as long as I have I can totally see where they get it from. I tend to agree much of the time but I don't make such broad generalization since I know there is still a good core group of folks in trucking.
I however think a documentary is a good idea if done properly and not turned against us -
Hey there Creative Tales! This forum has helped me learn a lot about the Trucking Industry.
A suggestion for you: Reality T.V. seems to be the interest nowdays. The best Reality T.V. show that I watched only 1 of 2, was "The Celebrity Bull Riders Challange".
This program would draw a lot of viewers I feel, because nothing is more honest and gut wrenching, more emotional and heartbreaking, more stressful and a winner all the way , then the REAL LIFE OTR driver and their lives.
I hope you can pull this off.
Good luck, just sharing my thoughts w/U.
