I would like to tell you that I'm truly sorry for the loss of your brother. You can't buy a permit for stupidity. Unfortunately, you and your family paid the ultimate price for someones stupidity. Like I said, there's an art to it. I like to go slow and look around. Why fly through a map dot at 100 mph? You have to be careful. You need common sense. Far too many don't have common sense.

I would also like to ad, I've been going the same way around scales all of my career. I know the roads. You can't "dodge a scale" on a road you don't know and think your not going to lose time or keep to your time schedule. I would rather run the back roads myself.

Are get new drivers.I think thats what they will do because tickets and lighter loads to them means less profit.

I think he is blaming every truck driver because of one steering wheel holders mistake And he is not telling the whole story. We dont know if the Malone truck was dodging the scales even if he was overloaded or how much over loaded.Big difference in 2 or 3 thousand pounds and 1o,ooo or more.

Diesel Hoound whats this with Malone driver I didnt read about that in this thread. Is he blaming all drivers or just non union drivers.I have seen some Teamsters and their trucks that look unsafe sitting in a lot not running.I feel sorry for any death but dont go blaming every one out on the road

Here's where he described his situation.

Personally, it doesn't matter what he thinks. If he wants to blame the world for what happened, that's more than fine. I think it's a shame it happened. I can say The only thing I EVER hit was an orange barrel that a four wheeler hit in front of me and it bounced of off a jersey barrier. It didn't even bend my rookie stick. I feel VERY secure in what I do, as I'm sure you do as well. Most people on here are NOT like me. I'm OK with that. This kind of topic is what I'm about. Most of these people are driving school push throughs that are scared. I'm not scared. I don't worry about things like getting caught, it may never happen. Then again, it may. So what, I got away with it a lot. You have to pay the piper every now and then. This is just the way it is. I know your with me!

Seriously, look at the trucks that are still running their loads in the really bad weather. Some are union, some are not.

Look at some of the truck accidents. Some are union, some are not.
