A person can earn $1,000 a week or $2,500 a week and still be broke, I know of a couple who makes $35,000 a year household income and they have a nice house newer car, motorcycle, boat and go on vaction while raising 3 kids. They just know how to manage their money well. I also know people who make $150,000 a year and their broke because they live above their means, 2 new $40k cars, $2,000 a month house payment, $35k Harley wife buys Gucci and they eat out 5 times a week at expensive places.

I think the point he was trying to make was you can make out of trucking a career that can be satisfying to anyone if this is what you want to do. If you were happy with your $1,000 a week desk job head right on back over there, if you want to drive a truck and that's the key word "want" then be happy with $800-1,200 a week and get driving, just learn to live on that much. Make the best of a good thing and it can be a good thing, majority of the negative post on here are people complaing because they felt they got treated bad, move on with their lives and if you notice 99% of them are people with 1-10 post, they joined just to complain and not learn or educate themselves from the vast knowledge of successful happy or at least somewhat happy drivers on here.

    I didn't say I was happy with it...:biggrin_2559:

But seriously I appreciate your comments. I agree- try and do what you like for a living and make the money fit.
