IMO, FEMA loads to Houston are a waste of time and money, unless the rates come up. Your better bet is to make good money on other loads that the poor saps turned down to go to Houston.
-
Yeah the Houston loads are going to pay the market rate. That's how it always goes. You can make money on them if you're smart. If you want significantly less drama come haul my produce in Indiana lol.
A Truck Driver Thanks this. -
I just left Houston, no big deal they have detours up, you have to do what you don't want to do to make money
-
Not true at all.... well, maybe about the detours but, I do what I want and make good moneyspyder7723 Thanks this.

Hoely Cow.... This thread has really gone off the rails LOL I posted what the Broker Offered me on Saturday and I turned him Down, 4K to go and it was 700 per day detention 12K max for 30 days( not to shabby) Im on the prowl now for a load heading that way starting Tues Morning. Just dont want to stay out there in San Antonio or Dallas(sketchy) in my truck for a month. Id rather drop the wagon and shag ### north to Oklahoma and visit my brother and his family

I run a dedicated route that I have been running for a little over a year now. Picks up in Houston, runs to Ga and Fl. Then pick up in Fl and back to Houston. The old man I am leased to has been running the same route for 11 years and the rate only goes up with inflation. Odds are I will be talking big in another 4 years no matter the market.

Market aside, been doing it for years.
