You're never lost until you can't find your truck. Then you're pretty much screwed.

I've never been lost, but was "temporarily confused" in New Jersey and in Wisconsin.:biggrin_25525:
Common sense, Qualcomm, Trucker Atlas, and mapping software helped me when I was "temporarily confused".

That would be me when I ran a sleeper route. Those extra miles on the hub help:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25523:

Used to be a carrier in Matawan, NJ w/ air tag axle Macks who paid hub miles. Then they caught one driver eating in the dinner on Rt 9 w/ the air tag axle maxed and the truck in gear so the drive wheel w/ the hub could sit there spinning.....those old Macks would lock the trailer w/ the tractor brakes off.

These creative ways to increase income remind me of this story: My mom says while my Dad was stationed off Korea on the Iowa, he told her they would drop firecrackers off the side of the ship to draw "under fire" pay or something like that.

Always remember.....YOU are never lost YOU are just sight seeing!
Remember when calling for directions to the shipper or receiver....
Be sure they understand that you are driving an 18 WHEELER. Many
times the person on the phone doesnt think about this and will give
you directions as they would go in their 4 wheeler.

    chicagocity Thanks this.
