    I have wired cameras at my house. Four regular with night vision, and one varifocal pointed at my main gate. It's about 120' away. I can park my pickup at the gate with the high beams on in the dark, pointed at the camera, and still read the license plate.

    And I could pull the feeds up on my phone right now if I wanted.

    Alibi Witness with NVR. The commercial spinner drives. WD Caviar Purple if I remember correctly. I'd have to review the specs, but I think they go up to 4k resolution. I have them on something like 2560 x something, and get a loop of about a month's footage from all five. Beware they aren't cheap. That verifocal alone was like $1,300 or so.

    Here's the verifocal right now. That's 120'. It also zooms (actual, not digital) and pans.

    Yes, I know I need to finish my fence...:p
