well, i called and they're paying $2.17 loaded and a buck empty. Not bad. I think they paid like $1.47/mile in 2010 and fuel was like $3.50 /gal.

I'm in the process of doing this. I just purchased a 2000 Peterbilt 379, N14+, 18 speed and now am waiting to get the best insurance quotes. After that, it's getting the tag, title, and permits...then get another account with DAT. That's what I used back in 2007-2009 when I ran under my own authority. I only needed it for a month because I found a local account and ran for them exclusively. $3600 for 500 miles per week! I'm hoping to get lucky again.
I still get emails from JB about loads and my authority has been inactive for 10 years! Lol -
I just quoted someone $6500 on 500 miles per week doing multiple deliveries per day in local stores. I think I am not gonna get those routesDino soar Thanks this.

I just went back and looked and it was actually 397 miles...but it was also 13 years ago with no stops...just drop and hook.

I am looking to do some power only myself. What year rig are you running with? I am currently running for $1.70 a mile on a 2200 mile trip. I can do it twice a week.

Just curious what’s your cost per mile?

Out of curiosity, whats the appeal of power only versus getting your own trailer?
