Nothing out of the ordinary. Things usually get a bit off kilter around holiday weekends. Have you called in and asked what the deal is?
There's always been a bit of ebb and flow as long as I've worked here. I know you've said you're a workaholic but I don't sweat the weeks I only work 50 hours because I know they're gonna beat me like a rented mule soon enough.

Yea they sent out mass message this week that they're hoping this ebb will be over by Labor Day.

I went to work for them in July and love it! Best place I have worked in my 46 years driving! We are not union in Co anyway. The insurance is good too!

Ok thanks, they are looking for a night Linehaul driver to go from S.Beloit Il to Effingham Il and back Sunday through Thursday night. They have well maintained equipment right? Seems like they do you never see any broke down anywhere.

They are leased from Penske and well taken care of in my opinion. I run otr from DC to Dc mainly. Home every weekend.

@Longarm would be the most knowledgeable about union conditions up north, but none of the drivers from Texas/Colorado are. Oddly enough part of the mixing plant in Garland is union, not sure how a mixed shop works.

As far as the equipment Penske handles it for us, and if something is going on with the equipment they're good about getting it taken care. Finally my overall opinion of SW is great. My uncle passed last week, and was given ample time to spend with family as well as attend the viewing and services.

The money you make (at least as a regional delivery) is good, and can be great when things go your way if you are willing to put in the effort.

It’s not uncommon for the plants to be mixed union and non union workers.
