I'd say Wal-Mart edges us out by a small margin. Still a good outfit to run for, especially if you'd cut your foot off before you joined a union.

I'd cut off my foot before I worked for Wal mart. I'm sure they treat their own drivers well, but I had enough of them from my reefer days. No weekends or holidays is worth more than the little bit more money I'd make there.

I do think it also matters what yard you're from. None of the Texas guys seem happy, and management seems to be a revolving door. Meanwhile Colorado guys seem to enjoy life more, and they've only had minimal management changes in the last 2 years.

I know that what makes Sherwin good for me is the support from the office. I don't get questioned about how I run, and they generally are in a good mood.

Nope. They only require a good job history, minimum 3 years OTR, clean(ish) driving record, haz-mat and tanker.

It may be now. When I started they wanted 5 in the last 10, but depending on experience they would occasionally accept 3. Just looked and yea just has to be 2 now in the last 10

One of the red flags is too many jobs in too short of a time. I actually got lucky because my job history was spotty. After the oil filled took its last downturn. But I had experience with doing local delivery in grocery
