They r forward and rear facing cameras

and the office can ping them at any time in real time regardless of what they say.
I've seen em do it.
this was at a freight yard in Alabama was waiting on my behind schedule sub service load to be loaded up sitting in the office. -

I'm sure they can remotely trigger the drivecams to record, and probably have it upload that segment of video right away, instead of at 2 am. It probably costs more, so the companies are not likely to do it.
They are able to change the settings remotely on the drivecams, meaning via the cell phone link. Why do you think they wouldn't be able to trigger the cam to record, and upload? -
I'm a future rookie driver. I was told, in writing, that a camera would be installed in my truck after finishing. It would be in the truck up to six months then removed. And that it could not be accessed real time.

Hypothetical: let's say that management can spy on drivers. Either real time or by uploading a chunk of recent video. OK. So that would mean one of two things, either Conway would need hundreds of employees to sit around spying via dash cams, or they do it so rarely that the odds of seeing someone do something wrong are remote.
In other words it ain't likely.
Dash cams send a chunk of video to the safety folks when triggered. Crash, sudden stop, sharp turn... The idea that any company could sit around monitoring 100s or 1000s of cameras on the sly is just plain silly. -
You ever see a security gaurd watching a bank of monitors? Every few seconds the monitor switches to a new camera, maybe a dozen or 2 monitors. You tune out the mundane, but it is pretty easy to spot the unusual at a glance. 1 guy with 24 monitors, each spending 3 sec per cam, can check on 2500 trucks every 5 1/2 hours.
Sure they won't spot something every time, but they'll eventually learn which trucks are good for breaking up the boredom; like the big guy in truck 34506 who likes to wear pink panties & is often seen struggling with a wedgie. And that the wife in team truck 31497 is good looking -- and look she's driving on a rough road now. Someone get her a sports bra!
Do you really want this for yourself & fellow drivers?Polarbear25 Thanks this. -
I know what I saw with my eyes.
Whether you believe me or not is your decision.
I'm not arguing.
