Most the drivers at CRST are rookies so I imagine they do team them together. But like others have said it's not only CRST.Can't believe they offered you money to back for them.Thats grounds for termination if they ever get caught having someone from a different company back for them.
I backed a truck into a tight spot for a new lady driver one time, but it was a very hard spot to get into, she had been trying for 30 minutes, and the shipper told her 'if you aren't in the dock in ten minutes we won't load you until tomorrow'. (They were closing up and going home.) She wasn't hitting anything, was real careful, but it was going to take her a while to get lucky and get in the spot. She got loaded. I don't worry about her hitting stuff. She was careful, and will eventually learn. (Yes, she looked ok for a woman her age). I usually don't help people back into spots, but I'm happy to stand out there and watch the blind spots and let them know if they're going to hit something.
I backed one in for an older lady with crst while inside the caves in kansas city....she had tried forever and started crying... I am a softy when the tears begin to flow...lol She was just trying to make a living....better than sucking up our tax dollars on welfare and food stamps.
Backed one in a dock for lady one time she tried like 6 times and was blocking main road she started getting upset. Offered to help as in guide she said would you please just do it before I just slam in gear I pray it makes it.
