does CRST really do this? or am I reading too deep into something

I don't have a dog in this flat tax vs progressive tax fight but the rationale about the 30% argument is the millionaire will have more disposable money left over after he pays 30% taxes than the guy paying 30% on 50k. It is not the 30% that is unfair, it is what is left after all the bills are paid of the remaining 70% is perceived unfair.

 

I'm one of those with 30-some thousand left after taxes, I don't think Mr. Buffett should pay a higher percentage just because he makes more than I do, but he #### sure shouldn't catch a break because he's got more than enough money to do whatever he wants either. I think he should pay his fair share which would be the exact same percentage as everyone else. That's truly fair.

 

Well, yes his remaining disposable cash is "unfair" but he earned that money. I'm not a socialist, I don't think he should have to distribute his wealth, just pay his fair share.

 

Exactly he makes 1,000,000 and keeps 700,000 I make 100,000 and keep 70,000 thats fair 30% from each of us.
Him/them keeping 83% and usl poor folk still only keeping our 70%
The system as it is now penalize those that make between 30k to 250k the most.

 

SO are you backtracking now? and who decides what is fair.
If we all pay the same rate. THAT is fair.

If you can't handle that someone else has more than you. Work harder, stop driving and go back to school to change careers.

Its not at all unfair. If you want what he has, work for it. Also, if we all paid the same rate (one can dream). Than Warren Buffet would have paid his fair share. Whether you like it or not.

 

No, I'm not backtracking at all. Are you drunk? High? Were you confused by the quotation marks around the word "unfair?" Perhaps you lack basic reading comprehension skills. Maybe you don't quite grasp the concept of sarcasm. Whatever the case may be, you should probably make sure you understand the context of the conversation before running around like Billy Bad-A telling folks to shut up.
