    It's only against the law if you get caught.

    after 8 days it will only be found in an audit of the company and after 6 months the coast is clear.

    If you run out of hours in the dock and the site kicks you off the property, then note "rolling to nearest safe parking haven".

    or tell them "I took a cold pill. I am not safe to drive." If the guard still argues tell him to ask his boss if they will be responsible for forcing you off the property in that state.
