If you don't mind doing free work for Google by filling in a captcha you can sign up at trucking boards and they have specialised LTL boards. There is a thread about favorite terminals over there.

Further Estes question: If someone is P&D and goes OTR linehaul do they start at the bottom?

Hard to say, most people just worry about their own terminals. Joliet is one of our newest terminals that is pretty big too. That's over by Chicago.

Put it this way. I'm at a fairly large hub terminal and our lowest linehaul run requires about 4 years with the company at this time. It's always up in the air though as runs are added/removed and people retire/quit. We've had times where only a year or two are needed for a run.

Yes they'll start at the bottom. Where I am p&d, hub, and linehaul/extraboard (extra is out five days guys) each have their own seniority. I think out west hub is combined with linehaul/extra.

Nice thing is your extraboard seniority does count towards linehaul. So you could do extra for a bit and make some money then if you decide you want to be home every day, bid on a linehaul run.

Well Im from Conway/XPO Logistics,19 years, great driving record. Looks like the Dayton terminal OTR spot Is filled. So Im thinking of going to Cincinnati. I live In Richmond,In,so I can work Dayton,Cincinnati,or Indianapolis. Which one Is the busiest?

Dayton and Indy are next door to the DFL terminals, so I go by them a lot. Indy seems to be a hub, so it probably has more runs. I do know drivers are constantly in and out of there all night long anyway.

It looks like Cincy is small, like their Dayton terminal. Indy would probably be your best bet, but it's a long commute from Richmond to Greenwood, south of Indy proper.

Does Estes allow transferring to another terminal if there's an opening?

Indy is probably the biggest as it's a hub. Cinci is actually pretty small and I believe Dayton is on the smaller side too.

Yes but it has to be approved by both terminal managers

Linehaul out of Dallas has a few runs that work the dock as of last year... Nothing major it's like take 2 pallets off put 2 on but I'm pretty sure my boss said we don't get paid to do it
