A driver who claims he never made a mistake will lie about other things, too.

this is one thing the constant scrutiny of (certain) jobs is shedding light on. things don’t, and haven’t, gone perfectly since the dawn of time. yet, everything gets done and in a good manner, better than not. teachers, cops, politicians...no ones perfect and expecting such is silly.

short answer: yes. we’ve all done dumb stuff. i haven’t hooked the wrong trailer (yet) but i find ways to make up for it.

to err is to be human.

Kinda sad to admit that I've somewhat 'purposely' missed exits or taken the wrong side at a highway split.

    'keep right in 1 mile'
    'keep right in 100 yards'
    'keep right'
oh shoot, quickly goes to the left.
    'recalculating'
    wait a min, wtf?
turns around at next exit and heads the correct way

I grabbed the wrong trailer “once”
Took 272270,instead of 227270.i looked at paperwork, and saw it was going to where I was dispatched,so down the road I went.
Dispatch notified me,and was able to straighten things out.

We all make mistakes man, relax. Probably the dumbest thing I ever did driving truck, was spreading two gravel truck loads of 3/8" minus lime rock on a driveway...beautiful job of spreading it to by the way.

Problem was it was the wrong driveway lol

Early on in my career being a ram jam and all in a hurry I didn't put the chain on my door....well I'm guessing you can guess what happened next. Same thing pops open and starts spitting boxes out onto the road. I made it about 15 miles before I realized what was going on and just about that time my boss was pulling up behind me in his car with the #### I dumped on the road. That was a rough day. Like @REO6205 said, we have all messed up and I wouldn't believe any ST that tells you they haven't.

I remember showing up in Minnesota to load one time, but couldn't find the cam lock gate to the tank. Left it in Calgary after unloading..... OOPS.

My current load of steel loads in 2 different areas of the plant.

Apparently after loading the 1st bundle of angle, I wasn't supposed to pull out and go to the back yet. I was supposed to get 3 more bundles in the warehouse rotfl.

I set up 2 drivers to deliver a truck to Kentucky from Ohio once. Paperwork showed it was at our location being transported for a salesman at our location an hour away. I come into work and get through most of my day, drivers get done and show up at the office. Seemed like they were a bit later than I expected so I asked if everything went smooth. They told me they saw the other salesman's name on it and assumed the unit was there. Drove all the way to the other office, then back here to pick up the unit and then to Kentucky. LOL, all they had to do was read the paper, writing is big and there isn't a whole lot on it. We all had a good laugh on it.
