We had a Kansas City driver that dropped the mail for Detroit then took his 10. Came back, hooked and took off to Kansas City with the same mail he just brought out of there. Oooops

Cool, i get to the yard And get my paperwork ,didnt bother to look at it cuz ive done this run a million times, need to go im short on hours boss. 4 days later i make it to cali and i go to find the adress for my delivery so i grab my paperwork and lone behold this load is going to frickin IOWA not california. LOL called my dispatch said u guys know this load is going to iowa right? , luckily they didnt know either. Somehow it got mixed up in the office . atleast they paid me round trip but everybody messes up . thats just 1 of the more crazy things thats happened to me. Yes, happpens to all of us. 30 years driving, mostly as a car hauler or tow truck driver. Twice in that time period I picked up the wrong car and took them to auction, not a huge issue only because we also got the transport orders for the cars I actually picked up. Could have been bad if we didn't.

At one part time job, delivering spring water, the company also had their own blow mold plant and sold their gallon jugs to other bottlers and small dairy outfits. I was on a bottle shuttle, would take a load of bottles from Honesdale, PA out to Johnstown, PA (about 250 miles one-way) and bring the empty trailer back. Well, plastic bottles don't weight anything, I hooked to what should have been the empty, it was dark out and I just gave a quick glance. Got all the way back to the plant only to find it was 2/3 full. Didn't notice in the dark. From then on I used a flashlight to check the empty trailers.

Mistakes happen, learn from them and carry on. Try not to make serious ones that will hurt or kill someone and you will be fine.
