My wife's uncle is an owner operator and he spent 10 years in prison for running drugs. He was even charged with murder until the witness recanted. It was part of the whole drug business. There's always somebody who will hire you regardless.
Does FedEx or UPS hire felons?

My boss will joke with me sometimes and tell me to "Drive it like I stole it" if I'm running late. Then I'll ask him if he's gonna bail me out of jail. LOLbottomdumpin Thanks this.

Very well said. A single mother I babysitted for when i was younger drove trucks for a living. When I got older I met a family who were truck drivers, made very good money, no drugs or jail involved in either. It was lucrative. I wanted to travel and drive trucks but my family didn't think it was safe for me so I didn't. I should have at least tried it.
let's not pre judge folks on their jobs, race, sexual preferences, etc.
You responded very well to this post. Thank you. ***** Stars!!

Yes they do! I have 5 felony convictions. All violence the last one on 2-21-08. I have held the following jobs since. USFS Hotshot Firefighter, Canadian Pacific Railway Conductor, and FedEx courier. And offered a position with UPS, Texas A&M Forest Service as a firefighter. Live a good life and you will be given a chance. Its bull that we cannot do any job we want after a decade of living on the right track!

I've always believed that everyone deserves a second chance if you've done the time and served your sentence and been rehabilitated why should you be penalized for the rest of your life. I firmly believe that the prison systems are not the way to reform people they only make people worst then before they went in and Uni studies back this up the only way your really going to know is by applying sometimes its more about how you conduct and promote yourself at the interview show lots of enthusiasm and interest in the company. Hope all goes well dude.Bob Dobalina Thanks this.

Fed-Ex may not hire felons but they certainly turn plenty of drivers into them.
