I'm not a trucker yet, but I have owned several companies and hired hundreds of people. What others are saying is probably true, regarding not being entrusted with big $'s yet. I will tell you you're fighting an uphill battle to get any any decent job this soon. I'd suggest to start with, speak and type in correct grammar - lose the slang completely. Others can get away with it - you can't. You should also dress better than the next guy. If you have tatoos - cover them, if you have a beard - shave it. If you have piercings - get rid of them. Be more respectful and careful with your attitude than the next guy - etc etc. You've got some time before people will open some decent doors for you - spend the time wisely so you are ready when the chance comes. Good luck to you.

You need to look at the small to mid sized non union construction companies and trash companies. Many will turn you down but you only need one job.

Many people equate stealing a car to stealing a horse, which was a Capitol offense.

This guy here gets it! To the OP .......the terrible choices you made are going to follow you for quite awhile , maybe forever in some cases. The fact that you were caught stealing is a non-starter for most " good companies ". They won't care to take the chance that you've learned your lesson and are ready to stay clean and law abiding. Give yourself a break learn a trade. It will serve you much better in the long run ,instead of going from bad trucking job to bad trucking job for years to come......believe it or not ....it's up to you , but you'll probably never see the inside of a really good , high paying trucking job.
