"It's just hair" but it's more important than a job. Make better choices or accept your choices.

If the suggestions above workout and you do get hired on take it as providence and return the karma by becoming upstanding law abiding citizen. The trucker image is bad enough, don't compound it.

If the preferred hairstyle really was just hair, then almost any opportunity to improve your situation would EASILY be enough to change the hairstyle. But the people saying "it's just hair, "why is the X so worried about MY hair (or whatever the style choice is)?" Their holding onto the hairstyle is their whole identity and it's about the most important feature of their character in the world. For example, the guys wearing long hair think it unfair to be judged by others but judge the short hair people making assuming multiple things about them. In short, EVERYONE wears a uniform ESPECIALLY the people claiming not to wear a uniform. The biker types wear their uniform, the freevspirits wear their uniform, the boy scouts wear their uniform, the gym rats wear their uniform, the thugs wear their uniforms, on and on.

In this example, if cutting hair was the obstacle to a better life picking the hairstyle over a better job is proof the hairstyle is more important than the life improvement.

to stay within the context of the topic, cutting my hair doesn't clear cut guarantee that I will pass a hair follicle test. I've heard of folks who dont even smoke or haven't smoked in months and still get popped (THC is the reason I cant pass). But as I've stated in the initial post, I said I can't pass a hair follicle, meaning ive already accepted the choice. And I won't cut my hair to *MAYBE* pass a hair follicle test. Do you follow?

I never broke the law so don't know the reason for your assumption. Pointless comment.

I understand your point, but I didn't expect you to cut your hair, there is ALWAYS a reason for holding on to whatever arbitrary symbol of rebellion someone picks. Consequences are not optional in life. There is a guaranteed way to pass any drug screen. You chose not to take that option so you are limited in job advancement. Maybe holding onto dreads lets you more easily hang out with the crowd where you made bad choices. Sign up for as many obstacles as you are prepared to throw in your path.
