Thinking of switching from Schneider to JB Hunt. I like how Schneider dispatches me through a tablet. Nobody bothers me. I just go through the "Work Flow" and tick off the boxes. Life is good. But JB is offering me a pay bump. I might take it. 25/5. Trying to see all 48 states.

    Is it worth the switch?

It's hard to say. If you don't like Schnieder then it may be worth the switch. If you can run the same miles and make more money, I'd say yes.

I just saw your ‘25/5’ is that 25 work days and 5 off ? If so can you save some up and take off 15 in a row ? Just curious.

You are going from 1 bottom feeder to another. There are a lot better driving jobs out there.

I've came across drivers that would dispute that. What makes a good driving job for one may make a bad one for the other. Ain't nothing wrong with working at either of those companies.

If you're looking to switch to JB intermodal, have at it.

JB dry van, it's not going to be much of a change.

Also, seeing all 48 states in the truck isn't an accomplishment worth chasing, imo. When you're driving the truck, you're not really experiencing the communities you're driving through. There are dozens of places that I've wanted to stop at, but didn't have the opportunity due to load requirements or parking issues. Focus on earning the money, then vacationing like you want to.

Good point. Maybe I’ll just take the highest pay I can find. Just thought it would be more of an adventure than the dedicated route I’m on now. Same routine day in day out.
