Personally I would stay away from triple crown. It varies greatly between terminals. The 2 drivers that I know that drove for them and no longer do told me they would average around 1200.00 take home after expenses and sometimes upwards of 1700.00. Just google triple crown reviews and after reading for two min you will look elsewhere. I have met one guy who was very happy there but he said he has never turned down a load no matter what even if he would break even on it just so dispatch wouldn't hold out of the good paying loads. The best is to find reviews for your local terminal. Plus if you look at the roadrailer trailers over here in Pa that they use they are a DOT mans dream.

I will be honest I like local work but it sure feels like I am punching a time clock sometimes.

Lots of O/O running intrastate. Very few who haven`t sacrificed and paid their dues to be able to do so. May be that the best formula for local success is " head down, mouth shut." No matter what you do there is someone who will do it for less. Remember that.
