CANADA made it mandatory for Canadians travelling to the USA ( phased in ) at the request of the US HOMELAND SECURITY .
Ortiginally was only for air travel now everyone -
Flat,
Not asking about canada, asking about prime.
But thank you. -

Anyways, primes website states that a driver Must be able to attain a passport.

I may be wrong, .... but getting a passport and being able to drive a cmv in Canada are not the same thing.
I think I can get a passport with a 25 yr old dui, but i dont think i can drive a CMV in Canada....
like i said, i may be wrong here.
So if I am only required (by Prime) to have a passport to be hired, that is different from "able to drive a cmv in Canada". does that sound right?jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
yes correct, i believe
DirtySideDown Thanks this. -
jtrnr1951 not a prob , misread your ?
Heres a ? for someone who might be able to give a response . does PRIME ever run into MEXICO ?
Between Canada and possible future loads further South might be why they may want tthe passports -
Passport and TWIC are 2 different things, neither affects the other. As far as Passports and Canada, it is required that you have a passport to cross an international boundary as an American. Prime runs Canada, and due to that, they require passports of all their drivers. You can be ineligible for entry into Canada, and still receive a US Passport.
