Anyone know if PTL charges a driver $1500.00 if they do not stay a certain time length but with NO contract? I know they do 3 weeks with a trainer, then 4 weeks teaming with another student. Then you can solo or stay team. I've heard they don't advertise the charge & the recruiter says "i haven't heard of that", but it had to have come from somewhere from someone getting charged it, if things didn't work out. Serious input would be appreciated. I'm looking to use my license finally after 3 years since graduating (was doing my own handyman business) and am trying to avoid the mega carriers. Options are limited instead of costly refreshers. I'm in the NC area. Thanks..
Does PTL charge for road training??

Abilene Motor Express probably hire you.
I don't think they charge anything.

That's your choice though.
PTL is a small company with a high turnover rate in drivers.
No company is perfect for each individual driver.Last edited: Feb 1, 2020

Might as well not risk it.
