Does PTL Suck THAT Bad?

    I'm pre-CDL about to go to school and had a phone interview with PTL. They are sending a prehire letter to the school for me. I'm still looking, but it doesn't seem that PTL has much of a good rep around here. Am I wrong?

    Also, thoughts on Roadmaster school?

    My experience was just trying to get any straight answers from them. Especially anything in writing. Which was odd to me since they claim to be employee owned.

    Why do you need a pre-hire letter? You may do better than PTL, unless there's a serious reason you need a pre-hire letter.
    Roadmaster is ok, but expensive and they push Werner because Werner owns the school.

    She said the letter was to just let them know that there is a company interested that is offering tuition reimbursement.

    OK, as long as that gets you into the school. There's other companies also that will reimburse your tuition.

    Freymiller - www.drive4freymiller - click on "Restore Program" for new cdl grads.
    J&R Schugel
    MCT Transportation - I think they reimburse tuition.
    There's probably a couple dozen more.
    Here's a Freymiller photo; they're one of the best reefer outfits around for new cdl graduates.
