I used to run the great white north and carried a Mr Heater, they have a CO2 shut off anyway.

Get a 30.00 tent and a cheap bag with a few things that makes it look like you are camping, never had a hassle from the castle.

Company may smack you hard, just keep a low profile.

Do their trucks not have the bunk heater for sleeping?

Do you have an inverter of any type on the truck or do they allow it. Looks like a small electric heater that does not have the exposed type coils or quartz would work. We used a small one made by Arvin years ago in a 78 dodge van that had been outfitted with a sleeping area. Put it on a milk crate and used it at the sister in-laws at Christmas in MO. Of course we had it plugged into the house. Used it for years to heat the bathroom up in the morning when it was cold out.

You would have to watch for a low battery on truck in the wee hours perhaps.

Same problem as the propane heater in the regs.

    It states PORTABLE HEATERS.

Yes, all company trucks are equipped with either a Webasto or Espar bunk heater. The Webasto heaters are known for failing when you need them most. The Espar heaters are much more reliable.

They do not allow an inverter big enough to run a heater. If the batteries are so low that the bunk heater can't run then chances are the inverters won't work.

If the bunk heater fails and you can't idle the truck you can just go check into a hotel. The company will reimburse you for the cost.

I've got one, too. Works great in my 4 man tent. One bottle will last about 6-7 hours on low setting.

I use mine with the hose accessory and a 20# propane bottle and it seems like one last forever.. I use it with my 4 man tent with a blue tarp over it when I 'm camping during deer season the tarp holds the heat much better, it will easily bring the tent up to 70 deg on a 15-20 deg morning in about 5 mins...its the bomb as the kids would say.. :)

Where did you get the adapter at? Cabella's? I don't remember seeing that at the Sportsmans Wharehouse where I bought my heater.
