This sleep apnea frenzy is pathatic. Some of the DOT medical facilities like concentra are pushing it to FMCSA because it helps their bottom line financially. There is no scientific data that links bmi or neck size with sleep apnea.
I'm thankful OOIDA is standing up for us drivers and pushing back. You need to get involved and write your political allies to support their push.

Well Iam just guessing you have insurance ...some companies wont actually pay for it or there insurance companies won't cover it so for those of you who don't have insurance or work at a job tht won't cover it their are other options available

OOIDA made a push for the guvmint to actually make it become law or nullinvoid

Rightb now the companies are acting on what is a suggested procedure tht was lobbied in by the medical legalized criminal industry ATA and others who gave money an circumvented congress an had the FMCSA
WRITE A RULE INSTEADOF IT BECOME A LAW THRU THE TRADITIONAL MANNER OF CONGRESS

I am not a trucker just a wife, but I have yet to feel good on my machine, that said if you do have and use a CPAP don't you get a truck with an APU to run the machine? and if you have that magical APU you can run sooo many other wonderful things on it that normal Swift Trucks can't because of n APU. It's not all bad. As for the testing I have only done it in office, I haven't heard of at home testing I am not sure how it would work. I was tested because of extremem daytime fatigue, not snoring or weight. If you do sleep with someone and you do snore what to have the other person listen for isn't the snoring it is the stopping of the snoring that indicates you stop breathing, and that apnea may be at fault.

You are not just a wife, you are a truckers wife, the backbone of the family. You are also a valued member of this forum. Steve is blessed to have you at home covering his back.
