Does Swift have any dedicated options that don't require....

    you to live in a certain area? A recruiter told me that they didn't have anything out of MO. I was offered the Kmart/Sears/Home Depot out of Romeoville, but after researching I declined that one.

    I am wondering if Swift has a Wal-Mart account or something similar that I can stay out for 6-8 weeks running then go home for a few days or if they require that you live in a certain area to get on dedicated?

    The reason I want to do dedicated around the midwest is because I am looking for something that will keep my close to home. I had to leave my last employer to get home and tend to a family issue that was a month ago. I am just thankful that I happened to be close to home at the time. The emergency has passed but I still don't want to travel too far from the IL/MO region.

    Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

    They used to have Walmart Dedicated Accts out of Moberly and Harrisonville.
    You did have to live close though.

    Anyway the whole Idea with Dedicated Accounts is the Driver can get Home more. So if he doesn't live near the DC it doesn't work out that well.
    Also some of those Accts are slip seated also.

    I currently run for Moberly. And Harrisonville is still there to but I called them they cant get you home but Moberly can you just have to call and ask Im not even on the fleet and they have kept me 8months now I go home for mos t of my restarts weekly and they can send u home a lot if u live in STL a rea they deliver there.

    They also have a slipseat operation for Moberly out of STL they keep offering to me but I make to much to do it you have to take a pay cut but for some they can do it

    They run 250 radius of Moberly basically some backhauls go out a bit farther

    You do not have to live 50miles away we have a driver from california that stays months before going home then he comes back you can join or be on fleet but if u dont join always that chance may have to leave when they get slow to otr
