oh, so you DO agree with me, about a student getting kicked out and NOT hired on..??

i only responded to the question of , "does every student get hired"......which is a plain and simple NO......and you backed it up...!!!

    thanks nana.....!!!

as far as any "spouse program", as you (and anyone else could have plainly seen) i did not respond to that end of swifts hiring practices....

it does a body good to know you agreed with me.....you're my sweetheart........[IMG]

(i guess you didn't poke me as much as you thought you did)...

Lots of applicants have less than perfect credit and less than perfect job histories. As Ms. Nana said, talk to a recruiter.

When I went through the academy, we lost one student to a dirty UA and another because it was "just too hard." I think you're worrying too much and creating unnecessary stress for yourself.

If you want to see what the general consensus is, look on these boards at the "Company DAC Reports" and read on several of the starter companies. You may get a better idea of which one will suit you best.

this is correct, about stressing out BEFORE one even applies to a school...

none of us can control everything. there are simply things in ours lives that we have to relinquish control over to, and let it be what happens.

there are other companies as you stated. there isn't one holier than thou company where life comes to an end if one is not hired on.

No, I don't agree with you. That would bring about the end of the world as we know it. Mountains would fall, rivers run dry, babies cry and men weep like little girls.

Actually I was jabbing you because you didn't answer her exact question. Which was will Swift drop someone who has completed the program. That answer is no. Can a person fail to meet the standards and thus not be hired......yes.

Come closer my lil grasshopper so I can swat you.

    Just an FYI.

I finished my Swift Orientation 9 days ago and I am still waiting for an available mentor in my area.

I'm not complaining and I understand having to wait but just a heads up that when you finish orientation it doesn't mean you're going to hop right into a truck.

given that we have had "feet of snow" and not inches as the norm, i'd highly suspect the end of the world is upon us...

and whatever you do, please DO NOT threaten me with any physical contact....you KNOW I LIKE IT LIKE THAT.....and i take it as a sign of your undying love.....:biggrin_2559:

and basically, I DID answer her question, one can be denied employment.....

i have had students get sent home and stay home for just over a month, all the while they cannot collect unemployment and the bills keep coming in......so much for "assembly line" hiring......

i had advise MY students that if the wait is longer than 2 2-3 weeks, call another company and forget about swift....
