    Not every carrier.

Most could care less about PSP.

And DAC. I've never heard of it until this forum and my boss didn't know what it was either.

PepsiCo checks MVR only, at the time of hire AND at the time of the Delivery Supervisors putting your internal DQF file together. PepsiCo does NOT use DAC.

Just for the record and to be clear. The FMCSA requires that all Carriers that operate interstate comply with parts 391.21 391.23 391.25 and 391.27 before they hire a driver and allow them to drive. This might also apply to intrastate operations as well but honestly, I have not heard if this is true. @brian991219 might know about this part. To be fair and honest, a simple DMV check is NOT good enough to satisfy compliance here. Unless the company is ready to spend the time verifying the information a 3rd party service is going to be used. I'm not saying this is DAC, just saying the FMCSA requires compliance. In the case of a FMCSA safety audit one of the first things they ask for is access to these driver qualification files and they do bust carriers if they are not complete or are sloppily done. I have heard a small carrier was busted a few months ago and was fined heavily told they had so much time to fix the compliance issues or risk being shut down.

So your saying carriers dont care about a drivers scale inspection history, and accident history. Psp has that info and most companies will look at it.

PSP stands for pre employment screening program put out by FMCSA
(Commonly called a drivers CSA score)

So far to date, Ive had about 19 inspections in 9 years of driving. All but 4 in California. This from running OTR and regional. Passed all but three.

Accidents. Yes. Required by insurance and can be found on MVR and heard from previous companies.

PSP is meaningless. And didn't even exist till 9 years ago.
DAC. Most carriers, and drivers too, never even heard of it.
Like @FlaSwampRat , I never heard of it till this forum.

I have 0 inspections. So I don't even have a psp or csa to even look at.
Being local. We don't get harrassed.

Not every carrier is under the microscope like long haul operations.
Locals, don't even get inspected unless you're a dirt hauler or attract attention for whatever reason.
Most carriers. Don't even haul brokered freight.
Most of us, don't even work for DAC companies.

I've had one local inspection in 20 years. Because my load was even with the trailer walls.
Loads can't be visible and must be 4 inches lower then the wall.
One cop was sitting at the quarry, looking for trucks to inspect.
Gave me a ticket. I easily got it dismissed myself because I wasn't on a road with a speed limit of 50 mph.

PSP and CSA we know of today. Wasn't even a plan in the works at that particular time.

The rest of my inspections. We're in other states during my OTR days. They're all expired now.

McUzi, rachi and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
