I work locally and make around that figure in a week. I don't have nearly as much fuel as you would have, don't need DOT numbers or authority or much of the expense you will have with breakdowns on the road etc etc. I am making a living and keeping a roof over my wife and baby girls head and paying for an elderly truck and trailer. Thats it. No big savings accounts for this boy, but it does work cause I'm local and home every night. I don't think you want to try it

Something *will* eventually go wrong with your health as well. Need to be prepared for unexpected medical issues as well as unexpected mechanical issues.

So much helpful info on this feed. I think im going to say yes to Landstar. They seem to have lots of freight and flexibility

I remember a older truck with a lot of love that happened to be about a '75 White Freightlimer (All one Label Word) Mine had the full airride back there and they cheapened out by bolting two seats to the floor. After all it's a shop truck with a wore out 425 they cannot think to get out of wa on.. That's wha the bosss think when they are given careful questions as to why they took all day to get late run going already, we be there by now an half way.

MaybeI make the arranges, *Boss switches from red to pale shoots hands out palms forward as if it is a child not wanting that dodgeball attack 'Yer deaf, you leave my #### phone alone that POS tractor cannot be down ther at 5 am tomorrow anyway on an don an on."

I toss everything into pax seat, climb in switch from car to truck key and begin to pullout.
HEY! WHERE YOU GOING!? Well this POS needs all night fo r 5am don't it' It's time I get going fore then. (General laugher from ternimal manager and so on) really chapped him but not on purpose.

BTW I got a little more blessing over that any amount, some of which finally went into the company truck with a MacK recept to prove it.

I would love to find a dedicated run or steady trips from Wisconsin to Laredo.
If anybody knows of companies that offer that , lemme know
