Does this seem reasonable?

Just go to any TS where you and sit down at the counter. Just chat with drivers. Tell them who you are and what not. This is what I did during my "research" and found that more often than not, drivers were very willing and open to chat. Especially when they find out that I am military. I got some of the best info this way. But just like anywhere else you search for knowledge, you have to take it with a grain of salt. As some may be happy and speak highly of the industy or their company, and other speak just the opposite.

Afterwards, I would offer to pay for their food or coffee in appreciation for the conversation and info, and again, more often than not, they refused and instead wanted to pay for my meal out of appreciation for serving our country.

Well Andy to me it all sounds par for the course but the one thing I might have an issue with is the $600 gaurentee per week, how many hours per day is that going to be based on, and is that net or gross? It will be a pretty low wage if you are going to be bumping your 70 hours. What about tarping pay I did not see that mentioned.

As others have suggested try to talk to the other drivers because when it comes down to it they are the ones in the know about their jobs and what their functions and pay are. You might have to pay your dues but in the long run maybe it will a good deal for you. Good luck

The 600 dollars is a guarented MINIMUM, if you earn more then that you get that, I didnt think about tarping pay.thanks for that.
