That looks to just be a condenser... Follow the hoses and see if there is an A/C pump somewhere

Well it is part of one. I would think any mechanic could at least tell if it was an air conditioner or not. lol

Yes. Now take it to a real AC shop. The guy youre calling a mechanic isnt really a mechanic.

Then your compressor and refrigerant charge are good.

Look on the dash for a "bunk" switch. It will switch your fan control to the bunk climate controller, which also must be set to cold and fan on. Check fuses, breakers and relays too.

If thats all good i suspect a connection or a temp/pressure switch in the bunk unit itself. Thats beyond my pay grade, never been a refrigerant guy.

Ummm, those aren't mechanics. They are tire changers at best.

Nailed it. Looks like an older unit made to run with an APU. It won't do a thing without some kind of running engine to power an AC pump. I have one without an APU on a brand new truck, but I have a separate set of batteries to run mine.

If his bunk air doesn't blow cold, it is possible that they have plumbed that one in instead, follow the hoses and see if they are plumbed in or just dead ends, simple enough to find out.
