Does TSA still send HazMat approval letter?

I got email from TSA saying my background check was completed. Does TSA still send snail-mail letter I take to renew my HM or is that communicated to the state via email? TIA

 

I renewed last year in iowa, no letter. I got email and then they sent info to state.

They send it to the state.

The state will know before the letter is even sent out to you.

 

I read the TSA email more carefully. TSA contacts the state authorities once you pass the background check.
THEY DON'T SEND A LETTER TO YOU. Once you have the email you are ready to show up at the driver license office and take your endorsement test.
