Does Westside transportation do follicle testing. I smoked weed about 2months ago

Wow is that really made by cre? But unfortunately its not just the industry. Its the future of our country. Talk to some teenagers and twenty year olds, you may be afraid of whats coming

 

Eeesh, I get what your saying..but, so you know, driving with the flu, or a bad cold, sometimes even a headache is MUCH worse than driving stoned on weed..

If you get stoned, you may get too paranoid to even attempt to drive a big rig, if you do, you wont go over 10 mph out of stonedom..

Im glad theres rules and regs to keep transportation folk sober, I get it, support it, and hope it continues..BUT, pot isnt causing any road deaths..

Many more drivers sneeking in a beer here and there, THEY are the ones to be scared off...drivers texting, surfing pandora, with the TV on eating as they drive looking at the laptop or quallcom MUCH more dangerous than a guy who just smoked a marijuana cigarette...

I dont want it legal, or OK to use on the road, not at all....I just hate the anti-pot flaming here on this site..Most of it out of ignorance, lacking factual basis...And occasionally It irritates me...This has been, one of those times...lol

 

I know a guy that eats a bowl of cereal with milk while driving every morning. When I tell him thats reckless and dangerous he gets mad at me......

 

My question would be, did you smoke 4 pounds? or take 2 puffs?
You fail all tests with the 4 pounds, you'll pass all tests with the 2 puffs, if this is really the first in 20 years..

Kind of a wierd thing to do out of the blue tho right?

 

LOL yup....Lots of ways to be dangerous and wreckless...I think, just your thinking alone can be dangerous while big riggin!!
If your hands are at 10 and 2 eyes forward, but your brain is totally focused on screwing the neighbor lady, or killing the guy tailgating you with his brights on then passing you then slowing down again, your WAY more dangerous than the guy who got a fresh buzz on and is too paranoid to enter the roadway..

Im a old wise 50 year old now, but in my 20's I was a stoned driver in a group of stoned drivers and know a little on the topic...Just trying to share/add to the topic with out coming off as a butthole druggie!! LOL

The problem with pot is, you cant get a dam job anywhere!!!! Its not allowed, regardless if the reasoning is flawed or not..

Not because a pot influenced driver hurt someone...which is what matters, right?
Who cares about the stoned driver who pulls out from a trailer with all the lines still hooked up, or takes off not latched/locked dumping the trailer on his back tires etc etc
Pot guys arent our big danger...They dont make it out of the terminal often..If they do, they run on the frontage road at 20 mph

 

OP asked one question then gone and everyone bashes each other! Bottom line we all have family out using the roads and it's unfortunate that Truckers are the only ones held to these standards. Maybe they should have follicle testing for Presidents, Congress and other Political wannabes that ruin this Country!

I have not smoked pot in over 15 years. No plans to ever again but I think the law is stupid. Pot is no more a hazard than alcohol. Yes driving while high would be stupid but so would driving drunk. Personally I have no issues with someone who smokes pot on their off time and drives, or does brain surgery when they are sober as long as they never mix the two. I would much rather be in the road next to someone who smoked a joint the night before than next to some who got super drunk the night before and is hung over.

All that being said the law is the law. If you want to be a CDL driver that means no drugs.

I hope anyone saying someone that smoked weed months ago has no place ever being in this industry also never drank within months of driving, because that's the same thing you are giving this guys #### about just aa different more dangerous drug, that just happens to be legal. you altered your consciousness for a few hours months ago and somehow that's effecting your ability to drive today? give me a break.

To the OP, just find a company that urine tests there is plenty of them, lay off the weed while you are in this career, get a few haircuts in this time then you can move on to one with hair testing if you so choose. send me a message if you want any extensive info on hair testing and how it works as ive done extensive research on it for uh, scientific purposes.
