As you all know, its not an easy thing to maintain a healthy lifestyle while living on the road.
I'm a driver with over 20 years and over 3 million miles of experience living on the road. My concerns for my family and my health in general increased as I grew older. My weight increased with my blood pressure. I always told myself and family that I'd love to do something but its impossible while on the road.
Well me and some other drivers got with some physical trainers and we have developed a plan that will change your life!
The excuses I hear most of the time is, "what can I eat out here that is healthy" and "I'd exercise but I can't get the truck to the gym.
Our plan is not a diet plan, but a lifestyle plan. It teaches you what to eat, what exercises to do and how to do them in and around the truck.
I am NOT selling anything, but rather looking for feedback and concerns you have about maintaining a healthy and fit lifestyle while on the road.
The Government is going to set guidelines on our health. Its a matter of when and not "if" anymore.
If this concerns you, please leave a post with me or sign up for free health tips and a free advanced copy of our program.
Get a head start to a new, better feeling, healthy lifestyle that you can manage on the road.

"Don't Diet"
Overweight?
Gettin' a little pudgey - a little soft around the middle?
Pants don't fit ....shirts gettin snug ...belt needin' another notch?
Well we hear ya...but listen-up
Don't Diet!
Sure you might eat too much.....too much of the wrong things!
So now that you went and got fat....now what -you're gonna eat less?
Are you sure?
Are you even satisfied after a meal now? How are you going to be satisfied after eating LESS?
Maybe you don't need to eat less......maybe you need to eat MORE -more good food, that is. Maybe you need to eat better food than you're eating now!
Maybe THAT would satisfy your hunger!
We don't think you eat too much because you WANT to get fat....not at all.
We KNOW you're hungry -you HAVE to be hungry --otherwise why would you eat so #### much?
All you know is that you're hungry -or you 'think' you're hungry.
Your body is hungry for something -you just don't know what that 'something' is!
What if it's more protein? What if you need some vitamins or some minerals -do you know where to get 'em?
Well, we got news.....You ain't gettin' healthy from that box -or that wrapper -or that carton or that foil.
Good food doesn't come in a package, friend
If you were eating good, healthy food you wouldn't need to eat anything extra and you wouldn't always feel hungry, antsy, cranky or deprived either.
"SO WHAT DO I DO?"
Eat more lean red meat, more turkey breast, chicken breast and any kind of seafood. Have more fresh veggies, more fruit and limit yourself to just a few nuts and seeds.
Stay away from dairy and grains -no cheese, milk, yogurt, breads or cereals for you, pal.
You don't need 'em and they ain't doin' you a bit of good -are they pudgey-pants?
Eat some good food and only good food and wave good-bye to those nasty aches and pains -and those hungry feelings too.
Soon enough you'll be hikin' up your britches and lookin like a million bucks again
-a brand new you!
So stick around -we've got more to share.
Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for those tips. I am struggling a little bit on weight. However I am in process of eating mushrooms, tomatoes, and fruit per day. In addition, I found a chicken cutlets is half the calories of a breast per package. Is this true? Also, can you guys give me cure to my soda habit?
KH -
I know what you mean. I used to drink 8 Mt dews per day! Yep you heard me me right. Anyway I just made up my mind that i was going to quit. this was almost as hard as quitting smoking. What i would do is keep my stash under my bunk that i had to dig out and only put 3 a day in my cooler to start weening off of it. After i had weened myself off for about a week then i quit buying it period. I figured if i went from 8 to 0 in one shot i would have bad caffeine headaches from lack of. anyway i drank lots of water and that was that. You just have to make your mind up there is no mzgic cure. also lost about 15 lbs in a month or two. Good luck to you.HealthyHoss Thanks this.

Hey KH,
I'm not sure what you mean by a 'cutlet' -What is that exactly?
Your calorie count is going to be relative to the size of the portion and the cut of the meat. Dark meat has a higher fat content and therefore more calories per ounce than white meat. That's why we recommend choosing breast meats -either chicken breast or turkey breast.
Tomatoes and mushrooms are fine choices -but how about other fruits and vegetables too? They're all good for you and you could really benefit from the variety.
As for the soda habit -what kind of soda are we talking about?
Full blown sugar soda? -Diet soda?
Of course carbonated drinks are generally no good -but the full-sugared variety are much, much worse.
-Try this....If you're drinking the sugared variety -switch to diet. It may take some getting used to, but you'll be better off for it.
In addition, try drinking more water too. Whatever you drink in diet soda -have twice that in fresh, clean water.
That oughta cure your thirst for a while

KH,
You know that if you cut just one soda a day for a year, that will save you one pound.
Bigcountry30 had another idea. Get it somewhere you can't get to while driving. Don't buy extra and don't panic because you don't have soda with you. Where can you not buy a soda?
Also flavor your water a little. Not to the point that you can't see through the water, just a bit for flavor. I put a little lemon or lime in it for a change. Maybe give that a try. We can't cure you of anything but YOU can.
Remember your good health is a process not an event.
